Barrow joint-boss Dave Bayliss has revealed that the Bluebirds are facing competition from a Scottish Premier League side for defender Paul Edwards. The 30-year-old former Oldham full-back joined the Bluebirds in March after he was released by Port Vale.
"He has been offered a contract by a side up in Scotland," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"If an offer comes in that we can't compete with then he will go but I hope he stays."
Edwards played in Barrow's 2-1 FA Trophy Final win against Stevenage at Wembley last month.

"He's a good player, he's done well for us," Bayliss said. "We've had really good talks with him and we have given him a deadline.
"We've fallen flat on our faces in recent weeks when we've given people deadlines but we don't want him to leave, we're just waiting for him to get back to us."
Edwards began his career as a trainee with Manchester City before spells with Crewe, Doncaster, Swindon, Wrexham, Blackpool, Oldham and Port Vale.
He made 12 appearances for Barrow last season and was offered a new deal by the club last month.
