Barrow joint-manager Darren Sheridan hopes Kettering are on a poor run of form when they face them in the FA Trophy first round on 12 December.The Poppies recently lost boss Mark Cooper to Peterborough and were beaten 2-0 at home by Kidderminster in Lee Harper's first game in charge.
"They've just lost their manager and they lost 2-0 on Saturday," Sheridan told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"I just hope they keep that bad run going when we go down there."
The Bluebirds have already visited Kettering in the league this season, losing 2-1 on a night where loan striker Jon Shaw had given the Cumbrian side the lead and was the scene of an inspired performance from 41-year-old Sheridan.
Meanwhile Sheridan, whose brother John manages League Two side Chesterfield, remains wary of the threat posed by Kettering and hailed the impression made by the departed Cooper during his time at Rockingham Road.

"He has done well for them Mark Cooper and he's got his chance in the League now," he added.
"They're still a good side, and it doesn't mean they're going to be easy opponents, we have to go down there and perform."
Barrow face Grays Athletic in the Blue Square Premier on Tuesday at Holker Street.
